This project is from Mozilla Labs and is still under development, but you can download it now. So what is it? It’s going to change the way that we interact with information on the web. If you are interested in learning more about Ubiquity (and to see it in action) read the full article.
I’ve recently uncovered a ridiculously elaborate internet scam while shopping around for a MacBook on Craig’s List. I’m still in disbelief that people would go to these lengths to steal people’s hard earned money.
While on Craig’s List I spotted a post for a black MacBook for $400.00. I thought “This sounds way to good to be true!” but I decided to investigate this “awesome” deal anyway. Remember the old saying; If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I sent an email stating that I was interested in buying the laptop and waited for a response. The next day I received this reply:
I haven’t had much time lately, but not to worry! I’m working on some fun updates right now. In the meantime, here is a video of Thom Yorke (of Radiohead) doing what he does best. This song is haunting, but I found it to be very inspiring so I wanted to share with you guys. If you have any great songs that you can find on YouTube that you’d like to share, click on that discuss link down there and post it in this thread in the forum! I look forward to seeing some new stuff, so don’t get all nervous and clam up - share!
Sorry for the wait! I was finally able to get the site back up after the change to a new host. New features are now tucked into every corner of Studio Shadowlight!
While was making the switch, I decided that a site-wide log-in would work much better. Everyone now has a universal profile that reflects across the entire site. There are a lot of fun perks using this configuration (I implemented a lot of fun shortcuts around the site, so register if you haven’t already and check it out.) The profiles work the same way as they did in the old forum, but now your information is automatically filled in when using forms around the site.
